Has the printer been working when connected to another computer? Was it connected by wireless or cable?0

yes and was cable0

Completely uninstall the printer and drivers, disable wireless on the printer, reboot the PC, then reinstall the Win 10 driver with the printer disconnected. Use the USB connection, but not until the installer asks for it.

If the printer and old computer combination still work, and they sit on the same home network, would it be possible to "share" the printer to allow the new computer to print to it?

old desk not touched as had issue and not have cash flow to reinsatll all promrmges and stuff0
