So I had calls from Lowell which I have ignored as I dont owe debt as far as I know which they would chase me for. I have now got calls from Overdales saying they have sent me letters, they have the right name but I have no letter. I am now worrying they have contacted me at my old address, moved 3 yrs ago and what if I have an old debt they are chasing. They are legal arnt they so if I do have a debt but they dont have my new address what if they issue me a ccj and I dont know? I thought the advice was to ignore them but the "what ifs" are getting to me. What do I do?

Overdale`s are the legal arm of Lowell.
We don`t normally advise speaking to such people on the phone, but this is one of those situations where you have moved house, and they may be corresponding with you at your old address, so to avoid a backdoor CCJ, it would be in your interests to speak to them.
I would ring them, or take their next call, go through security with them, and inform them of your change of address.
Ask them to write to you again, at the correct address this time, you can then find out what its all about and respond accordingly.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. OK So have you paid or acknowledged the debt in the last 6 years ( 5 years if you live in Scotland) ?If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0

Yes, that is probably safest.
They can't just issue a ccj. But they can start a claim at the last known address and if that isn't forwarded to you, it would go undefended and you get a ccj in default.
Easier to defend a claim than to get set-aside1 -
