My husband made a claim to hidenatax which I did not know about is this a legit company to deal with?.My husband is in hospital at the moment and he has received a final reminder to complete marriage tax allowance claim form for both of us To be completed by 23rd July! or fees of £300 will be collected ! As I have explained I knew nothing of the claim until today.I claimed online in April along with my husband through the government gateway .I have had no response from tax place as I think we missed the deadline of April 5th.Should we complete the form? what % will they deduct? Hope someone can help.

Sounds like you signed a contract ( yes they are a company - not sure you could call them ligit as they basically do what you could do yourself ).
I think what they do is; whatever tax you save they take a %.
I'd try and speak to them and see if you can get a copy of the contract you have signed and what the get out is.0 -

Apologies for coming to this late. Please find our guidance on tax refund companies here: https://www.litrg.org.uk/tax-nic/how-tax-collected/tax-refunds/tax-refund-companies. In our experience, being sent an invoice like this for 'work done', where the legalities are not clear (let alone what if, any work, was actually done) are usually 'shake the tree' type exercises.“Official Company Representative
