CGT on probate property - HMRC online

in Cutting tax
I’m due to pay CGT on a probate property sold by the estate before distribution.
I’ve registered a complex estate and set up a capital gain tax account.
When I’m filing the online CGT form, there is a question about how the trust got the property. The most likely options are either (i) inherited it or (ii) other. I’m assuming i say other and specify that it it part of the estate?
Does anyone have any experience of this?

Incidentally I assume you meant to say ' how the estate got the property' not ' how the trust got the property'.
I assume this is an actual sale as estate executor rather than as trustee of a trust terminating on death , or maybe a bit of both - I see in this regard you 'registered' the estate as complex, why is it complex?
Have you determined that half the property was previously held in trust after all?0
