NI Refund CA4361 Backlog

The HMRC Backlog for CA4361 claims for a refund of overpaid NI is a joke at the moment.
Can anyone explain how they can be at a point where on the website where you can find an expected reply time it says that they are processing claims from the 24th March 2025 (mine was submitted in early April 2025) for it then to jump back to January 2025 in the space of a few days?
Surely thats an error. how can they be so far off with the date of processing claims if it was originally 24th March 2024.
