My suggestion is that as the owner of a rental property you need a large repair fund.
I'll never forget the non-UK resident owner of a rental property who lost their job early in Covid. They needed less than £5k to replace the broken boiler in their rental property and their tenant had involved the LA because of the delay. It got to be like sometime They couldn't borrow the money to fund the repair and were faced with fines as well.
So you need have enough at least to repair the boiler, or anything else that is required by the decent homes standard. Or to fund a nasty eviction process if needed.
That's where the money released in October needs to go at least until you've got £5kIf you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Hi, to clarify I am am now comfortably meeting all of my regular costs, I have no access to credit cards and I am making regular payments to my family alongside the DMP payment. I asked PayPlan to factor that into the overall DMP and they agreed for me to make the payment separately.0
