STATE PENSION FORECAST ERRORS

That doesn't sound right. I was topping up at the end of 2022 and all the years back to 2008/9 were the same price apart from 2020/1 and 2021/2. Or maybe the DWP lady only picked 2020/1 and 2021/2 because they were cheaper? It is weird because the chap I spoke to was getting me to fill more recent years over the older years so obviously some DWP people knew that newer was better..Papa_Roo said:
Thank you for the time spent and responding, the DWP staff member selected the years as she said to make the sum payable as little as possible !molerat said:On the face of it purchasing those 3 pre 2016 years made no difference to her pension as she would likely be limited to a maximum of 30 useable years. UPDATE - After many call all to different personnel we appear to have resolved the issue, the pre 16 dates were allocated in error and have now been reallocated together with an small additional payment to cover for the sum owed on the new allocated year has resulted in a FULL STATE PENSION FORECAST ! Thank you for all your help in the matter.molerat said:
In which case you have cause for complaint and have the payments re-allocated. I thought that late on DWP were fully up to speed with correct allocations - in the early post 2016 years we knew more than they did - but it would seem not.Papa_Roo said:

The eventual solution has saved us over £1000 from the reasonable solution offered happy that it is now resolved thanks to all on the forum for their assistance and advice.Hoenir said:
People do make mistakes at work. You've been offered a reasonable solution. What more are you expecting. Complaining to a large corporate organisation about an individual error is akin to water running off a duck's back .Papa_Roo said:
A letter of complaint is being drafted however how much good that will do I dod not know ANY SUGGESTIONS ????0
