I have a credit card debt that was passed to Link Financial some years ago. As this was an old debt, I asked for a CCA request and they responded in writing to let me know they didn't have the paperwork and therefore the credit agreement was unenforceable. “but we can still contact you in relation to the outstanding balance.”
Most recent communication “To reconnect with you, our representatives will visit you at home.”
We’ve been trying to reach you….
If we do not hear from you or receive payment within the next seven days, we will instruct our partners Resolvecall Limited to visit you at your home address.
Advice welcome, thanks.

Firstly Resolvecall has as much power as next door's kitty. If they do turn out tell them to do one.
One of the complications of English law is that debts can be unenforceable because they are statute barred or lacking paperwork but they aren't extinguished. Debt collectors like to confuse people by describing them as "collectable" or some such rubbish.
Secondly, Link may just be playing a long game. If it's nearly 6 years since you last paid or acknowledged the debt in writing, getting you to communicate now could extend their chance of enforcing the debt if the paperwork turns up in the next six years.
So ignore and be aware that communicating verbally is not acknowledgement. Do just make sure that anyone at home does not sign anything or (it has happened) personally make a payment towards the debt.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Search "Reasolvecall" either on here or the web in general, and you`ll see how others have dealt with them.
They are just employees of a private company, no more power than you or I have, so ignore at your discretion.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
