Self Employed Driver -NI

Hi all,
I am apparently self employed driver (of cars for auction house)
They provide the jobs each day, they provide devices and resources (although they deduct a fee for this and insurance). They will pay expenses. However if I do a job and am at a loss it’s my responsibility.
I have a few questions if someone can advise:
1) is this actually self employed or is the company trying to avoid their responsibilities e.g NI, Tax etc
2) I am aware of the need to register as self employed with HMRC for class 2 NI I imagine due to the days I work I will be above £6000 but below £12000 odd. Is this calculated for NI per week or over the potential earnings for the year. I have a spreadsheet that calculates tax/ NI and so far it’s showing 0.
I know the suggestion is to get an accountant but with earnings it’s not really worth it. I only need another 12 years NI for full state pension but just want to make sure these aren’t lost years.
Thanks

NI question - see https://www.litrg.org.uk/pensions/state-pension/national-insurance-and-state-pensionGoogling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
Why would you make a loss doing a job?0

I have done the self employed test and it says self employed (although I’m not fully confident with some of the answers).
I suppose the biggest issue is hiw I can ensure I don’t miss NI contributions either presumed (under the threshold) or additional.0 -

https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/employment-status#toc-1 is NI's advices. Would normally point to HMRC's CEST tool but no idea if there any nuances for being in NI
