NHS Complaints

Options
My father-in-law made a complaint to his local hospital in respect of treatment received. He received a reply stating that the matter would be investigated and a reply would be sent by the end of April 2025. Unfortunately, he hasn't heard anything since - despite sending correspondence requesting an update on the investigation. It is now 6 months since his original letter of complaint was sent and we can't understand why there is no reply - should we be concerned? Any comments would be appreciated - thank you.

Put  in another complaint about the lack of response to his complaint? (That  is something I have done before now.)

What elsien said.  And copy in the local NHS Trust and your MP.

Who have you sent it to? If you’re going through PALS then bypass them and go straight to the chief executive.

The letter was sent to the Chief Executive. A letter was then received from PALS stating that the complaint would be investigated and the Chief Executive involved.
