Credit Style - How to Handle

Hello all - I’ve had a series of texts from Credit Style asking me to call them to discuss an unknown debt.
I have followed the advice elsewhere on this board to ignore them until I get a letter, but my concern is that if the debt does relate to energy, any correspondence is likely to go to a previous property. Is there a risk they could apply for a CCJ at an old address, and I’d be unaware?
If I have somehow unknowingly picked up a parking charge, I feel I’m more in a position to contest, as I’ve only owned a vehicle since I’ve lived here.
I can’t think what this debt could possibly be. Googling suggests this is likely to relate to either energy or a parking charge. I still have access to all my energy accounts going back seven years and can see no issues. I do have a car in my name, but this is a relatively recent development.

I normally would say never correspond by text but as you haven't received anything else there may not be an easy alternative. Maybe text Credit Style back and ask them to post copies of previous correspondence to you. Ask them what address they will be using.
Have you moved recently? Have you checked your credit report in case there's something showing on there?

I have moved in the last eighteen months - my credit report is fully clear, I’ve checked three providers. I don’t think it’s possible to text back, annoyingly - I’d have to either call or use their contact form.0

Yes, you can`t respond to these kind of texts as they sent by a computer.
If you contact them via their website, you will have to provide personal details to pass data protection.
I would normally advise you to ignore texts, but if you are concerned about a CCJ by default, it might be the right thing to do in this case.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thank you, very helpful.0

Hello - I’ve had texts from the debt collection agency Credit Style asking me to contact them, with a reference number.I do not believe I owe anything, but don’t want to risk a CCJ being sent to a previous address, which I would then be unable to challenge. I would like to send them a Provit letter, however, I also don’t know that they have any of my details, and would prefer to keep it that way.
Could I email the Provit letter, amending to say “I have no knowledge of any debt being owed”? Do I need to supply my name, or can I leave the onus on them? I assume I have the option not to supply my address?
Thanks in advance for any advice.0 -
Credit style seem to have acquired a collection of mobile numbers to which they are firing texts asking you to contact them about an unspecified debt.
The safest policy is not to engage. They will eventually give up2 -

Thank you - are you sure? There seem to be plenty of examples online of them pursuing CCJs - I am worried about this happening if I don’t follow up.0

Simple question: do you have any debts with missed payments?1

I don’t, no - I’ve checked my credit report with three providers and there’s absolutely nothing on there.
