We normally do our own tax returns as we have a fairly straight forward situation.  This year however my husband has had a few changes which has resulted in his tax return being more complicated.

On this basis we are going to get an accountant to do his and due to the prices we have been quoted, I will be doing my own still as my situation is no different.

If an accountant does a tax return and submits it, will they send us a copy for our records? Or will we be able to log on and see it once submitted by them? I'm not sure what the process is when using an accountant and we always like to keep copies of our completed SA's for our own records /backup.

You will be asked to review and approve the tax return before submission as you are responsible for ensuring it is correct and complete to the best of your knowkedge and belief, even if someone submits for you.

What format this is in depends on the software they use.
