Do Asda still give a £2 gift voucher if you are overcharged for something?

I was in Asda not that long ago a 50p packet of pasta came through at 50 quid I didn't even get a sorry.2

Most of the time you had to ask for it anyway, it was rarely offered. Not had a problem for a while because I use shop and go which shows the price when you scan an item.1

In my experience, at my local store, the staff treat any one who complains of being overcharged as a fraudster until proven otherwise. Same goes when they had the "refund and replace" - it was "refund" only.
This isn't an Asda wide issue, it just happens at certain stores, who've had the "every one's a thief, everyone's a fraudster" line drilled into them. They can change as many managers as they like, but the attitude is baked in.1
