Link Financial offering £100 compensation after complaint - would there be any issue claiming this?

I complained to Link Financial, citing FSA guidelines, after they were sending me letters and emails that didn't make clear that a debt was unenforceable.
They upheld my complaint and also said they would offer £100 in compensation if I contacted them to arrange this.
I am wondering, if, were I to contact them (by email) to accept this then that might be an issue in terms of whether it's seen as formally acknowledging the debt, which has been deemed unenforceable since 2023? Or is there no downside to me doing this?

There is no such thing as "formally acknowledging an unenforceable debt".
Acknowledgement of a debt is only going to be an issue if you intend to rely on the limitation act as a defence to a court claim.
Assuming this is not the case, there is no downside, don`t overthink things, and go and claim your hundred quid.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
