need advice - selling a diamond ring

I need to sell a diamond ring but don't know where to get the best price. It is valued at £3000 but I guess that's for insurance purposes. How much can I expect to sell it for and where should I go to do this? Thanks

Often insurance valuations are 3 times the actual value of the ring. You could try taking it to a jewellery shop that sells second hand stuff & asking them what they feel a realistic selling price would be for the item.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
