What are you trying to achieve and what level of testing do you want? There are simple checkups and blood tests available in Boots (as well as others), through to companies who will test your blood for everything and put you through a full body MRI.

Alternatively you could speak to your GP and have all the normal tests done as part of a checkup. If you have specific concerns then they could be addressed, PSA test for example. Otherwise you are largely wasting money.

I had a free health check through BUPA at work a number of years back.  I was all ready with my questions about various concerns and they couldn't have cared less.  The results back from them were much the same as you'd get from the cheapest house survey and really just stated the obvious.  Basically I was overweight, didn't exercise enough and should improve my diet.  I already knew that.  The only way to make it worthwhile is to pay for lots of tests and to have time to discuss everything in detail with a appropriate health professional.

I had an annual health checkup at my GP a few weeks ago and the blood test came back with several abnormal readings. They do not suspect anything serious but have put me on vitamin D tablets. I had another blood test last  week after taking that for a month and readings have not changed. I had an ultrasound on Friday and a different blood test is booked for next week. Without the checkup I would not have known anything was wrong so unless you want whole body scans I would ask your GP
