To change bank before mortgage app

I'm going to remortgage next year and am aware I shouldn't apply for credit in the run-up, but would a bank account switch be a bad idea now? I am not overdrawn with my current bank, it would purely be to benefit from cash back on bills paid by DD and a better savings account rate.

I don't see any issues if you are not applying for a mortgage until next year.

Get any hard credit search out of the way well before you plan a mortgage application.

    You'll be fine.

Generally an account switch is fine even a few weeks before a mortgage application, unless your credit history isnt great
