Vanquis Loan sold to Antelope Loans

I am currently in a self managed DMP.
I had a loan with Vanquis, which I stopped payments in October 24, this loan then defaulted in January 2025. I have not been chased for this debt, so had no arranged payments.
Today I have received an e-mail stating that my loan has been sold to Antelope Loans (Alive No.1). This does not appear to be an account sold due to default, but an account that has been sold on due to a business decision.
I have logged on to the Antelope account and they have added an interest charge, which is the first to be applied since January.
Does anybody know where I may stand with this? Would Antelope be aware that this is a defaulted loan?

Antelope is a trading name of Link. They know they are buying problem debt.
When you say it defaulted in January 2025, what happened, was a default added to your credit record, did you get a default notice?
Have you looked at an affordability complaint against Vanquis?1 -
They cannot add interest to defaulted debt unless the original agreement allows them to do so, the vast majority of consumer credit agreements do not allow this.
That is the basis for your first complaint to Link, also add affordability to that mix as well.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
