I do slimming world and I think their adverts state from £100 - £500 a month. But it depends on the class size. I think that there is some info on the website.

I do know that you have to buy the franchise which costs about £1000. and you have to have lost weight with them I think.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
The class I go to now has approx 40 members per class and she does 5 classes over 2 days at £4.50 a go. However, out of this you have to pay for stock (Hi-Fi bars, magazines, books etc) & room rental.
  • thanks lucy

    That's ok.

I know you would have to declare as self employed, but the training is good and you would have access to regional support. But they make you do so much advertising etc.

  • I used to do slimming world, you only earn 20% (I think)of your class takings (minus rent) for the first 6 weeks and after that you have to have over 30 members each night to earn over 20%, I used to have a class of about 30-35 members and would earn approx £30 a night for this, I gave it up 2 years ago

but yes, you have to have lost weight and be near or at target before you can apply

I didn't realise the franchise had gone up that much!!! I joined 4 years ago and it was only £120 then

Someone I used to work with started it over the summer and it cost her that much. Sad thing is she gave it up about 3 - 4 months later.
