Paying lump sum before remortgaging

Options
I will be re-mortgaging at end of Nov - looking at 5 or 10 yr fixed moving from Atom at 1.4% for last 5 years.  I have paid my overpayment allowance every year but I have around £30k I can throw at the mortgage to reduce from £100k to £70k.  How would I go about paying this lump sum towards the mortgage given I have gone through my overpayment allowance and also not get hit with a charge somewhere

Thanks

If you are changing Lender you simply borrow £30,000 less than your current outstanding balance with Atom, and provide the Solicitors handling the change with the £30,000 lump sum.

Sorry just another query.  lets say today I could make a £30k lump sum payment so apply for a £70K mortgage.  If closer to the mortgage switching I can throw another £5k or £10k at it - would I need to fully re-apply again with the lender ? or can they just make an adjustment ?

They can just make an adjustment, right up to completion.
