Removing Stains

Options
Hi All,

I am trying to remove two separate stains. Does anyone have any tips?

1. A water stain on a fabric car seat - I have attempted to remove this via a steam mop to no avail.
2. A little stain that is rusty coloured on a white shirt, I'm not sure what it is. I have tried pouring vinegar on the stain and then placing it in a wash, however this has had no impact.

Thanks in advance.

On 2. Have you tried rubbing in Vanish spray, and  then washing immediately? Or using Napisan?

What is the shirt made of? Do you know what caused the stain?

Edit: It is possible the vinegar has set the stain making it more difficult to remove.

With the hot sunny weather due at the end of next week....   Stretch the bit of shirt with the rust stain on it tightly over a bowl.  (May need to tie it in place!)   Take it outside with a kettle of boiling water.  Set the bowl down, and then pour the water from a height over the stain,  Leave it to dry in the sunshine.

No guarantees, but I've used this method successfully on stains that nothing else would touch.

P.S Don't put the bowl on the grass, otherwise the heat of the water will kill it!
