Sorry, but I would rather pay the extra than buy from Dixons Online. Seems lots of others think the same - their Christmas profits are down £Millions this year.

Your contract for supply and delivery is with Dixons, no question. Don't rely on the agent at the end of the phone, get thier name (full name if possible) and politely insist on speaking directly to thier team leader or manager. Lay it on the line with them that it is thier responsibility (I Think its the Sale of Goods Act and probably the Distance selling Regulations, but check them out first), and if you still get problems take it to your local Trading Standards. Whatever happens, stay calm and in control, be prepared to explain the problem several times and tell them what action you want them to take. Keep a record of your call(s) and once they agree to replace the product, start asking for compensation, they may even upgrade your product to the next model!
