Rear brake light bulb
Can anybody tell me if this bulb has gone or figment is partially broken?
So car warning came on rear bulb gone which I thought was strange as change it not that long ago so thought I’ll check it first at work.

The thing is when I put it back in the light started working again but to me that looks broken so is it maybe sometimes reconnecting when I go over a bump or maybe it hasn’t gone completely when I took the bulb out can a little rattle when you shake it like a piece of the figment has broke off.

It's maybe just your imagination, though it does look broken..Try swapping brake bulbs over.

Looks broken. And yes, if the filament is broken when you thump it or it goes over a bump whilst it's 'on' the loose end will briefly touch to make the connection, with enough heat generated to produce a tiny little spot weld at that point so it'll work for a bit then fail again, probably over the next bump.
If you don't want bulb failure messages randomly popping a hundred times a day just replace the bulb.
Try to get hold of a fresh, decent replacement - I've always found the ones you buy at a filling station which have probably been sat on the shelf for 15 years are never any good.2 -
You can get long-life versions, which should be better1

It's very broken on the left it's just lightly reattached itself until the next pothole.

If you connect it to a battery, does it light up? If not, it's blown, whether it looks blown or not.0

No I haven’t tried that it still works because it had gone out and wasn’t working took it out to have a look as only change it a few months ago so thought maybe it’s come lose or a connection problem but then obviously bulb looked like that.Put back in and the bulb out message disappeared reversed up to a glass door in car park and could see it was working again but as mentioned maybe it just briefly making a connection sometimes. I’ll pick a new bulb up tonight on way to work.£2820/£4000 0% 24 months pay £150 HSBC
