Cooler clothes for Motorbike riding

Hey chums,
I have a little scooter/moped that I use to get to work & back. I always wear full gear (which is lucky as I got cut up & knocked off the bike back in January)
I'm currently suffering in the heat.
Does anyone have any recommendations on summer gear? I obviously want it to be as protective as possible (as much as it would be more comfortable I would definately never ride in shorts & t-shirt) but I need it to be a lot cooler.
I'm hoping our current heatwave will be as short as usual, so I can go back to a lovely cold ride, but I need suggestions in the meantime.
Thankees

I don't know your budget but here are some ideas.I wear armoured jeans on my commuter bike most of the year around (in the winter I put over trousers over them). They're not as cool as fashion jeans (heavier cotton and a kevlar lining, plus armour) but they provide protection.I put up with my waterproof jacket all year around
but occasionally wonder about an armoured hoodie or mesh jacket for the summer.
See for example:https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_cat/3793 ( should link to hoodies).Or an example mesh jacket:N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.

I'm not fussed about fashion, I'd much rather just be comfortable.
I think armoured jeans might be what I head for.
Armoured hoodies are an interesting concept. You'd think they'd be shredded on the asphaltDebt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!
