They’d have probably undertaken a cheap search via a tracing agency. Very common in the private parking debt collection/litigation arena.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Then remove the words 'and counterclaim' otherwise it looks like you made one.

I did not provide them with my number at any point. They are calling from different numbers which is how they keep getting through despite me having blocked at least 10 different numbers to prevent them calling me. Yet the weekly calls keep coming.

I'd already updated my document to read "My Defence, as submitted to the court on 1 May 2025 in the “N9B Defence and Counterclaim”[marked D2], is summarised as follows" but I'll just refer to the form as N9B, just in case. Thank you.

On a different note, should I add a note regarding the Claim Form having been signed by Sarah Ensall, who I understand is not listed anywhere as a solicitor and may not be authorised to sign such documents? I have not raised this with DCBL previously, so not sure if it can be included in this stage. Considering it is potentially an offence if she is not authorised, it is outrageous they should get away with this.

Yes, you can raise that now as a preliminary matter, so copy some words about Sarah Ensall and Mazur v Speechlys from another thread you find.

Yay - as expected but a relief & win for you! However I can't shout 'AOBTD' yet and we can't count your success until we see a photo of the NoD attached to the email please, so it can be listed on Umkomaas' thread.

    Please please!
