Morning folks. Thanks SCARLET for starting off. I wasn't asked today if I was human. How does it know that I am not an intelligent chimp?
Last night was a bit too hot for comfort and they say tonight will be even hotter. I had better fish the fan out methinks. Today we are set to reach a daytime 27/28 deg so any necessary chores will be done early doors. The WM is on its last lap with towels so they will be pegged out shortly and won't take long to dry.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for any poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe in the sun xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Good morning
Blue skies, suns out, due to get to 29 degrees today. We have been up a couple of times in the night with big dog, this weather doesn't agree with him. Mind you, nor does the wind or the rain.
I think we will just be taking it easy today, theres nothing that needs to be done urgently. Tonight we have to give big dog his meds as he has a vets appointment tomorrow. Why have they decided to do the yearly booster in two parts? Well, I know it's probably for the money, but we have a health plan so dont pay anymore.
Anyways, have a good day all, stay safe in the sun. Take care.12 -

Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all
Another beautiful day promised I have Rob coming and we are off to work in the cafe, we went there yesterday and I was telling one of the girls about the whole situation and she said I should email the CEO of the centre ( it’s a centre for people with LD where I worked before) so I emailed her and the head of support and got a reply almost immediately saying that they were going to look into the situation, they are very invested in the rights of people with LD so hopefully some good will come of it, Mehefin I will definitely contact the MP if I get no joy from the council - thanks for the suggestion xx
Dinner tonight will be something with chips, dd is working a late so she will eat at work, poor OH was welding yesterday in that heat 🥵 and came home filthy dirty he had to wash his hair three times to get all the dirt / metal out of his hair.
Wm is going it’s thing and I need to run the hoover over before work.
TA I’m hoping you see / feel an improvement in your eyes soon xxx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning all - thanks @Scarlet.My lovely gardener came yesterday morning, she's tidied up the overgrowth of plants, removed some of the foxgloves which seed everywhere and sorted out the broken rose. Some parts have survived so are now secured to a wooden pole. She also kept back a few cuttings from it which I've prepared, dipped in powder and stuck into a pot. They might root, it's a long term project. I'll cut the grass after the weekend as it's easily done.I took the chance to do some shopping, but inevitably forgot some things so I'll go back up today. Tomorrow I'm going down to the lakes to meet up with my closest friend for a couple of nights so want to take some stuff with me.The day may stay dry and become warm, it did yesterday though I'm now very wary of the weather. 😂 Perhaps it's hot where you are! Hugs to all, especially our poorlies.12

Morning all, Lovely & sunny, glad yours is on it's way Gers.I'll do a quick tidy up before it gets hotter, and also go for my walk. Plenty in for tea as my order came yesterday.I made a pork stir fry last night. Not sure what I'll do tonight as we'll be quite late home. DGS school football team is taking part in a tournament representing our town, we have to pick them up early as it's a fair way to go. I do want to take some sandwiches/ snacks so will sort that in a bit.I think I'll need to water the pots outside too.I had a shock yesterday when one of the visiting wood pigeons decided to come into the house with the back door being open! It kept bashing into the walls and the glass roof.I eventually got it trapped in a corner near the door and picked it up and let it out but ended up with a handful of tail feathers, so I was worried it couldn't fly but it sat on a tall storage cupboard recovering from it's fright for a while. Back again hogging the bird table though this morningHope everyone enjoys their day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Good morning from Mehefinland
Well I am not a chimp, but I was asked about being a human this morning ( 3 times!). The warmer weather has finally arrived here , tempered with a gentle breeze so not too bad. I should make a start on the house painting whilst it's like this but cba at the moment. Think sleep deprivation is behind it all, my eyes are like grit.
Just spotted the rarest of beasts on our road - the road sweeper!! It appears from nowhere once every blue moon, whizzes up and down and disappears again until some indeterminate time in the future. Blasted thing couldn't have had the water spray on as all you could see was a huge cloud of dust being ejected into the air behind it. I thought the idea was to clean up, it was certainly recycling. Cars are now all covered in fine dust - just another little annoyance ( Victor Meldrew??? Me??).
Horses queueing to come in put of the flies yesterday lunchtime - first time for a while that they have done that. Hopefully this breeze will make it a little better for them today. belly usually wins when it comes down to it, so the flies must have been bothersome yesterday
Hugs and Spoons as always

Good morning 😊
It’s a lovely sunny day, and going to get hotter. I have a wash on the line, and another one in the machine.
Yesterday, we had a fabulous time on our hike. We went for around five hours, mostly in woodland shade, but some hills were uncovered and that was hot. I am very achy this morning, but it was worth it.
Sinners was a good film, better than I was expecting, and not really a horror film. The only thing that made me jump was an unexpected snake. I don’t like snakes 🤣
I don’t have much planned for today. I’m going to visit my neighbour for a natter, then possibly go into town, as I want a few things from H&B.
Tonight’s dinner is Spanish chicken with garlic rice for the meat eaters, and mushroom dirty rice for myself.
Hope you all have a good day 😊

Morning all, thanks for the start @Scarlet. The site is still asking if I'm human. We're in for a hot one today - temperatures up to 27 deg but it could, at times, feel like 29 or even 30. Dry and settled, little in the way of cloud.
Yesterday I went to the Co-op for the usual bits and also bought a YS tray of BBQ sausages that are now in the freezer. I returned a book to the Little Free Library on the way home and yes, I borrowed another one, a Lee Child novel. The tops of the kitchen cupboards are now grime-free - I couldn't hazard a guess at when they were last done but, safe to say, I'll have to make an effort at doing them more often! Latest energy statement arrived - lowest so far this year - but I'll need to send another reading ready for the change over to a new fixed price plan on Monday.
I was thinking of taking a bag of donations to the CS today but it's a long walk there and back so I've decided to postpone that until next week when it should be a bit cooler. Instead the plan is to do whatever needs doing in the kitchen in the morning and then move around to the living room where it will be cooler and sand down the radiators that I didn't get around to doing yesterday (maybe). A Mediterranean siesta may well feature mid-afternoon! Tea tonight is a mushroom & spinach crisp-bake with spicy wedges and side salad, apple pie for afters.
@Rosy - There's not much puts wood pigeons off their food! Glad it was OK though.
@mehefin - Our road sweepers are an endangered species too as are the ones that supposedly do the weed spraying - and that's a hit & miss job when it does happen. If you think you're Victor Meldrew, I'm guilty of being Mrs Meldrew at times!
Have a good day, take care in the sun if you're out and about. Hugs for those who are feeling stressed, worried, lonely or not so well. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11
