How doesn't Mum receive full State pension?

    They are by the employer - and OP says her mother worked until she was 65.
    Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

    They are by the employer - and OP says her mother worked until she was 65.
    But they still wouldn't count towards her State pension.

    Thank you for all of the advice. I managed to set up an HMRC account for Mum and discovered she hadn't paid full NI conts which explains everything. Thank you so much for the help anyway.
