DFS Sofas - Augh!

I bought a sofa from this store, after enduring about 100,000 ads on TV, and seeing a good price.

The sofa they delivered was terrible, awful, horrible, laughably bad.

The sewing on the cushin was bad, there was a stain on it, and one of the arms was badly built, they hadn't sewed it properly and there was foam missing.

I was appauled that a big company could put out such garbage.

A very nice man came around and explained to me how it wasn't their fault. I kept telling him that the sofa was crap and whoever was on quality control needed to cut down on their heroin intake - but he kept insisting why it was all fine and they weren't to blame it was 'just one of those things'.

If anyone wants to know why Britain no longer manufactures much - unless under control of Japanese, Germans or Americans - then look no further than DFS's British built sofas.

I've asked them to take it back or give me a refund.

I wonder if this was just a one off or noraml for this company.

I got my sofas off them just over a year ago and they are fine, but I guess as with most things you don't really get the measure of a company till you need to deal with their customer service.

I would have refused delivery at the time to be fair, but as it appears you haven't then I would write a letter to them explaining the problems and offer a solution to them, (make it easy for them),

however if you would like me to go throw some old sofas in Mr Kirkhams garden give me the nod :-) he is a pompus G*T ........ I doubt if he comes on here.......
