My Santander mortgage is coming to the end of its current deal later this year.
If I apply to them for additional borrowing and they decline will this affect the option of selecting a new deal with the current mortgage that is usually available 4 months before it ends?

So even if they refuse me to borrow more based on affordability they can’t stop me selecting a new product/deal when the current deal ends?I.e they won’t make me do affordability, credit check etc again.0
