Aunt Bessies Bramley Apple Pie, Help!

Hi everyone,

Just got my budget shopping delivered from tescos :D very happy apart from they swapped Marshmallows for Haribo.. haha - can't really make Haribo chocolate brownies can I? :p I did opt for the substitutions though, so I will find a use for them, birthday present for my brother probably!

Anyway,

I got an Aunt Bessies Bramley Apple Pie on offer for 99p, it comes Frozen, and my plan was to cut into slices and defrost the morning we were going to eat it (for the evening) if that makes sense?

Well, it has to be cooked, so i've stuck the whole thing in the oven and it's cooking (obviously)

My point is, can I now let it cool down and put the other 4 slices we don't need yet back in the freezer to defrost for another days dessert?

I see absolutely no reason why you can't do that with the apple pie

As you are changing something from uncooked to cooked I do not see how there will be any problems

Great stuff.. I just thought it might go a bit funny if I cooked it, defrosted and then re-heated, but like you say, shud be fine..

It's cooked now, and for 99p I am very impressed, it's very deep and smells lovely.

This will make us 3 desserts each, as I cut it into 6 portions. Considering how much you will pay in a restaurant it is brilliant.

    16.5p per slice.. :T

Of course, I probably should make my own, but not got around to that yet.. haha
