Waves-access - scam or not??

Options
I have joined this website where I can ‘earn money’ or given reviews on apps, but not sure if it is genuine or not. Can’t find much on line about this, but a lot comes up on wave-access, not waves with the s.

  • Total scam

The domain waves-access.net was registered less than a month ago by someone in Malaysia.

Just looking through the website, there's one massive red flag that screams scam:
After completing your personal information and delivery address in the platform. After you deposit your account, you may start evaluating a product,

They want you to deposit money in order to be able to work (most likely in crypto) - anything that asks you to pay in order to earn money is always a scam.

There's been a few of these types of scam highlighted on anti-scam sites, offering "jobs" reviewing hotels, food delivery, apps etc. and they all work in a very similar way:

    1. You get contacted over social media or WhatsApp offering you this job with no interview.

    2. You go through a training period where the introducer deposits funds for you and allows you to work

    3. After you have successfully done your first batch of tasks, they show you how much you have earned and might give you a chance to withdraw your earnings (perhaps £20 or 30) before you do your next batch of tasks - this is just a sweetener to make it look legitimate. In order to do your next batch of tasks, you will need to deposit funds.

    4. After you have worked through most of your tasks you will suddenly qualify for a "gold task" (or similar name), which requires you to deposit yet more funds.

    5. If you deposit the extra funds then once you have completed your tasks, they will just ghost you and leave you unable to withdraw your funds.

Bottom line - If someone ask you to pay to be able to do a job - run a mile, it's always a scam.
