Advice to avoid Swinton Insurance via Topcashback

A heads up to not be drawn in by Swinton Insurance's promise of cashback via Topcashback. After having waited over a year for the cashback to show up in our accounts both myself and a colleague have both had perfectly legitimate claims (i.e. jumped through all the required hoops and held the policies for a year -  turned down).  We've both used Topcashback for a long time and know the processes required to get cashback inside out - however, both claims are deemed unsuccessful.  If Topcashback want to maintain their reputation as a good cashback payer, which I believe they are, they should investigate Swinton and consider removing them from their website.  Any similar experiences out there?

The "problem" is often fairly simple... if you are buying a TV, you shop around to find those with the lowest prices then look at the cash back sites and workout who's cheapest overall. Open a new Incognito/private browser tab, clear cookies etc and then click through and buy, some will even switch to a VPN to change their IP to ensure no previous affiliate marketing can be associated with the actual purchase.

Insurance is often different, when you are doing your shopping around you are having to give them a large amount of personal data therefore the insurer isnt dependent on cookies or other such basic tools to workout who was the first marketeer to refer the business to them as all the PII you give them allows them to link the two quotes and follow the scheme rules of giving the referral fee to the firm that first referred the customer.
