LEAP

I was just reading about LEAP where if you had children in the 90s you possibly won't have had NI contributions applied to your account. The DWP have already paid out to many and have sent out letters with many more to come. Do we just sit and wait for a letter if we qualify? Can we contact them and who? Anyone have any idea?
Many thanks

Many thanksGoogling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
if you were claiming Child Benefit during the period then you should have been creditted with NI contributions - I think it used to be up until the youngest child turned 16, but it is not 12.
As Marcon says, check your NI record for any gaps.
And also check your State Pension Forecast to see if you really need any gaps filled or if you are on track for the full amount anyhow.
