@VALM am always so impressed with how many eyeshadows and nail polishes you completely finish!!

    UU
    • L’Oréal Paris Infallible 32H Fresh Wear long-lasting liquid foundation shade 20: Love this foundation, got the replacement for it in April when I knew I was v low.
    • SKIN 1004 - Madagascar Centella Tone Brightening Capsule Ampoule [100ml]: I do love this serum,- tranexamic acid, Vit C deriv, and a load of centella.  Plus it's huge, so v economical, and my skin likes it (at least, doesn't react to it :-P ), buuuuuuuuut I'd prefer a 5% tranexamic for more of a boost, so when I saw Facetheory had their one with 20% discount I got that.  Perhaps I will alternate the two moving forward as the FT one isn't cheap.
    INs
    • Facetheory - Glow-C Tranexamic 5% Serum: replacement for the Skin1004 which is 2% and this is 5.
    • Facetheory Blemicalm Azelaic Acid 10% Clarifying Serum: love this too, 10% azelaic acid. 20% discount made it not as painful to buy!
    • Facetheory Blemicalm TT1 with a Blend of Succinic Acid (2%), Salicylic Acid (2%), Sulphur (2%), Chamomile and Mild Kaolin Clay: a freebie with my purchase- spot treatment.
    • Facetheory Hyaluret Serum S13 with Retinoic and Hyaluronic Acid Ester, Beta-glucan, Liquorice and Dill:  also a freebie GWP, this is a decent sized bottle too!   I just reordered my retinal of choice the other week, so I might actually see if anyone I know wants this one!

Morning all.  Been away for a few days but have been working through the stash and have a few UU's to report:

This Works Deep Sleep Body Whip - this was part of the M&S advent calendar and while I wasn't too keen on it to start with, it actually was amazing after workouts to help prevent muscle aches.  It's really expensive for what it is but Better You make their own version with the magnesium that looks like a dupe, so need to track that down.

Floral Street Sunflower Pop perfume - WBA liked the freshness of this.  Was one of the 10ml ones, so might ask for a larger size for Christmas.  Have replaced with the Electric Rhubarb one which is equally as nice!

SKIN1004 Madagascan Centella SPF 50+++: WBA, and have done.  It's good for days when I'm not leaving the house and works well under makeup etc.  Currently using up a BoJ mini.

    Wild Deodorant: Replaced with same

Some by Mi Hydrating Sheet Mask - WBA, was great after a few days in the sun

Radox Muscle Soak Bath Salts - WBA, have replaced with some Westlab epsom salts instead

Soltan 8 Hour Advanced Protect SPF 50+ - WBA, love how this absorbs and gives me peace of mind for a few hours.  No burning here.  Have replaced with same.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream Mini - took this away with me and it worked really well.  Might be a good moisturiser for the winter as I usually use a gel moisturiser in the warmer months.

Sunday Riley Pink Drink Mini - another that I took away with me as a toner.  Not sure what it was doing for my skin but was a good mini spray to use before applying an essence.

Urban Decay X Eyeshadow - was my everyday lid shade, have replaced with Urban Decay Half Baked.

Urban Decay Twice Baked Eyeshadow - was my everyday outer crease colour, have replaced with UD Roach (which may be too red for me but will see what it looks like when I get ready for work tomorrow)

And while I haven't used it up yet, I've hit pan on my highlighter which I've had for more years than I want to admit 😂  So we might see that as a UU in another 5 years!

@ruby_eskimo two eyeshadows!?  Well done!!  I too love Soltan 8 Hour Advanced Protect SPF 50+, though sadly on me it is greasy (but I have more oily skin perhaps!), but I still love it for its amazing sun protection.  Love and hate  :D  Boots online ran out of the spf 50 and I had to order the 30 though!  :#

I've been having a spendy month, am a bit sad about it. *mostly* it's replacements, buuuuuut I did order an eyeshadow palette (and a lippie and a loose eyeshadow powder....) I totally didn't need, but I was having a bad week last week- my dog pulled me over hard on a walk and I was feeling sorry for myself  :D  I am not being a good example of a no-buy right now, not even a low buy!!

    INS- here we go....
    • e.l.f. Power Grip Primer: this one is actually a replacement, my current one is low.
    • Soltan Age Defence Advanced 8hr Protect Facial Suncare Cream Hyaluronic Acid SPF30 50ml: also replacement, my SPF 50 is running out. Sad about the SPF 30
    • Garnier Ambre Solaire SPF 50+ Super UV Face Protection Fluid 40ml: my fave regular sunscreen hasn't been restocked yet (boo!) so this in the meantime
    • Boots Anti-Dandruff Ketoconazole 2% w/w Shampoo: actually this is also a replacement, can feel my current one being low when I use it.
    • Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish Clear: to dilute one of my glitter toppers that's too dense.
    • Unearthly Cosmetics - Shadowsculpt v1 Ghoul Garden palette:  Lush greens- murky olives, mossy depths and magical forest shimmers. One of my fave brands, and when they did a green palette, I couldn't not.....
    • Unearthly Cosmetics - Menacing metals lipstick - Pharoah: Gold shimmer lipstick, going to use it as a topper to add a nice warm sheen. I used to have a Sugarpill one which I really liked but it got old so I had to bin, so this is sort of a replacement....
    • Unearthly Cosmetics - Monster loose eyeshadow:  Jade green fairy dust with fiery red, orange, and purple sparkles.  Are we noticing a green theme here?

    UUs

    • Pampers Harmonie Aqua Baby Wipes
    • Mary & May Vegan Blackberry Complex Cream Essence- travel size: Wanted to try this one so got the mini.  I did like it, feels nice on the skin. Has some good antioxidants so I'd buy this again.  Think I prefer the Dr Ceuracle Kombucha tea essence because I like having green tea in my skincare routine, but I'd buy this one again if the kombucha one was sold out!

I do feel bad about the Unearthly stuff, but I guess it's bought now.  I have confessed my sins. Moving on!  :D

I know @Clutterbug07!  I'm almost out of a foundation and a lip balm/gloss thing so I think I'm on a little bit of a roll when it comes to using up makeup!  And the Soltan stuff keeps going in and out of stock quite frequently so I stocked up on the SPF 50 to take on holiday with me in a few months because last time I couldn't find any at the end of August!

Have a few more UU's to report

Beauty of Joseon SPF 50 - this was the mini size and I'd buy again if I needed a travel size SPF.  Have replaced with a mini of the Ultra Violette Supreme Screen

Radox Sleep Bubble Bath - was ok, gave lots of bubbles and a pleasant scent.  Have a few Lush bath bombs etc. to use up now.

Garnier Body Food - love this stuff, have raved about it before.  Have replaced with a Lush bar to see if it's effective enough for me to reduce my plastic usage.  So far so good, it's definitely quicker to use in the mornings and doesn't leave me greasy.

Have a few things on order so will update when they arrive.

    • L'Oreal Paris Elvive Hydra Pure 72Hr Purifying Shampoo: Liked this, would repurchase.  Going to just use the OGX I have though, don't need to buy a new regular shampoo right now!
    • Soltan Once Age Defence 8 hr SPF 50- Face:  Amusingly this is the third face sunscreen I have finished in June- that must be a record!!

And hit two eyeshadow pans in one day in my Ace Beaute - Tropical Vibes palette- shades Rainforest (a gold with a slight greeny hint), and Chartreuse- it's been one of my fave combos of late, so easy but really impactful!

Well done on hitting pan in 2 shadows @Clutterbug07!

I've finished a few more things over the weekend:

Lush Jason and the Argan Oil Shampoo Bar: HG, no notes, replaced with same

Lush Hello Kitty Bath Bomb: a friend bought this for me as a little gift and I loved it.  Scent was gorgeous and is something I can replicate with other products so looking forward to doing that going forwards

Wild Mini Deo: love these for travel and they last a few weeks.  Only problem is getting the last bits out of the packaging as my fingers aren't long enough to push the deodorant all the way up to the top.

As it's the last day of the month and we're half way through the year (😮) here's my round up of total UU's and IN's so far:

    June: 31 UU's @ £313.55 / 7 IN's @ £76.38

    2025 So Far: 175 UU's @ £1755.31 / 38 IN's @ £519.65

Those are some good numbers @ruby_eskimo!  Mine are practically the reverse:

INS: 17 (SEVENTEEN!!!  :'(  £197.84 My worst month so far by a long way. It's cos I bought an eyeshadow palette- that really bumped up the months expenditures!)
OUT:  10 (inc one serum and 3 face SPFS  :D )

Eurghh, 7 items into my collection overall (although I dont actually have the palette and lippie yet....)

June INs were 9 and OUTs were 10, so only 1 down.
However, 2025 is still going in the right direction with OUTs being double the INs on average, so 29 down since the beginning of the year.
My stash levels are at my lowest since... probably before 2006?
I'm reaching the exciting stage of actually being allowed to buy stuff because I need it!
Still see stuff I want but don't need and it is still tempting, but I am getting much better at telling myself no!
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without
