Have searched for a thread so hope I haven’t duplicated.Another full day of exams today, yesterday was fine apart from a rowdy/cheeky group in the afternoon - no malice just lads!!The weather has really changed with wind and rain for the last few hours - it’ll save watering the garden!!
Hope everyone is well and has a good day

Thanks @AA. I'm a bit under the weather today so still in bed though I'll get up soon. Over the weekend I developed a nasty UTI, something I've not had for at least 20 years. On the way for my shingles jag I called into the pharmacy, had a consultation and then give a three day course of ABs.I'll be fine soon. Hugs to all.14

Good morning, thanks for starting Allie.
Usually I'm up early, but last night I had a ( for me) good night's sleep! Not uninterrupted of course, but still, not bad by my standards.
It's raining here but we need it.
Sorry to hear about your uti Gers, hope you'll soon feel better.
Tap installation went well yesterday, and Dh mended the wm door, so a good day here!
I need to go to the shops today, don't need much.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.13 -
Morning allThanks for starting us off @AlwaysAllie and hope you feel better soon @GersWoke up early this morning as I couldn't keep my eyes open past 9.30pm last night so went and hung some washing out then as it's going to rain later, so hope it dries before it comes down. I'm off out later for an optician's appointment at 9am so hope to get home before the rain. Got to pop into the pharmacy on the way back as they didn't get a delivery of one of my medications so they said I had to contact the doctor to ask him to prescribe the capsules instead of the tablets that they didn't have. Surprised that has to go through a doctor as it's the same medication but in a different form. Who knew? Some ironing to do later and then that's me done for the day.Hope everyone has a good day x13

Morning all
Its very blowy here and rain due mid morning and for the rest of the day, I have three people coming today so we will have to think of what we want to do. I phoned the sw twice yesterday and left messages and emailed her - I got no response at all so I will try again today I could really do with the money I am owed and Rob could do with some too.
Dinner tonight will be chicken with mash and salad I bought a whole chicken so it will do for sandwiches this week, dd is off today so she can pop it in the oven later.
The gardener yesterday was such a lovely woman she seemed very honest and hard working, she is due to start today but it’s weather dependent so might be tomorrow.
Gers I hope you feel better soon xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, thanks AA. It's been raining here,it woke me early.Gers I hope you feel better soon, and RRuby that you get some money owed very soon-it's just not fair.Dp1 hope LO stays well and you enjoy her company.Glad the taps got done ScarletI think we might have a trip to a garden centre a few miles away - it's a big one and they have a food hall with nice meat. I love our butcher but the packs tend to consist of similar items each week & fancy a change. We decided on Tuesdays as possible days out as we don't pick DGS up unless something crops up.I had a good drying day yesterday, got 2 lots of washing dried but my prop broke so DH ordered a new one.Hope everyone has a good day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all from Mehefinland
Wet and windy - woo hoo! Sorry folks but the ground here is like concrete and everything was getting very parched in the garden even though I water the pots. Field awful too! I'm sure it will do more good than harm even if a bit of an inconvenience. My poor roses took another beating, including the birthday one from last year which has really come into its own this spring. Never mind, they are tough things so they will bounce back.
Had more sleepless nights ,wide awake at 5.30 this morning - 3.30 the previous night. No idea what and feel a bit wrung out,
Off to see DS and Toxic for the weekend so sorting a dew things to be relocated to them. Found his GF's thesis for his MSc the other day - all typed out and bound as they did back then. It is very technical and scientific, but it be of some interest to him - all about cement. Got a load of Dawn's Thelwell books which I intend taking too, plus a few family photo albums ( I haven't a clue who half of the people are). It will give us something to look at during those 'awkward' moments.
Oh, and I made a Bailey's coffee fruit cake yesterday to take with me - a surrogate Xmas cake!! Got to rub it in a bit somehow after the shenanigans last year. Bury hatchet, build bridges - hmm, we will see ( who's bitter!!?).
Hugs to the poodles, spoons to the rest of you.

Morning everyone and thanks for the start @AlwaysAllie. Get well soon @Gers. I hope the anti-Bs kick in swiftly, those UTIs are no fun at all.
We've had some rain overnight/early morning that's now stopped and the sun is trying to get out. Sunny intervals and breezy with a low chance of showers seems to be the order of the day.
Yesterday passed smoothly enough with a few bitty jobs done and a surprise visit from DS as he was passing. He needed to collect his passport and make sure it's up to date as he and his good lady are going on holiday to Brazil in December.
Today it's hairdresser day at her new venue and I'm hoping I can find out when she will be going on maternity leave and maybe for how long. Not quite as convenient as where she was previously but it should be doable. I'll get the Harrogate to Leeds bus rather than a Leeds bus as they're much more reliable and punctual although DS has warned me there are lots of roadworks in and around Harrogate that are causing delays. Tea tonight is a chicken & garlic kyiv, wedges and mixed veg and there's just enough strawberries left for a small bowl for afters.
@Scarlet - A round of applause for DH on fixing the WM door. Well done, that man.
@Ruby - I hope you manage to find something enjoyable to do with your people and that you get a response from the SW today - preferably the right response!
Wave to @mehefin. Good luck with your visit to DS and Toxic at the weekend - I wonder if that's a subconscious worry that may be affecting your sleep?
Right, must crack on so I don't end up rushing to catch the bus. Have a good day, hugs for the Poodles (and the sleepless), take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10
