Council tax

Hi I was hoping to get some help on council tax.
My partners wage can fluctuate every month. So this results in different council tax bills being sent out. Sometimes we qualify for council tax support, sometimes not. However, when we haven't qualified for it one month, I'm getting a new bill saying we've been overpaid council tax support and they've reestimated my bill. Which results in the bill being more. But surely it's not an overpayment when we qualified for it for that particular previous month? I'm with bury council, greater Manchester.
Another point I wanted to discuss is whether or not they should be taking my disability element of UC into account aswell? As that's for my extra needs it's not a joint income. LCWRA I'm on. And my partner only earns around 740 from their job. I'm aware most councils don't take this lcwra into account as income but I'm not sure about bury. They're expecting us to pay 182 a month in council tax. Thanks in advance

Bury has a link on their website showing what income is and isn’t taken into account with regards to benefits and disability.
There is an appendix towards the bottom of the document, which might help you to make sense of it. I only skim Reddit but didn’t see a mention of LCWRA.
You need to have a proper read.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

technically and legally speaking council tax is a DAILY charge so yes, it is perfectly possible for you to have received too much CT support in a given month if your circumstances are not what was expected when it was calculated.
