You're out and about, you're looking to get some cash out, the first ATM you find charges you a fee to withdraw...what are you most likely to do in this situation?

I tend to use ATMs attached to banks. I've not come across one of these that wanted to charge me.1

I keep 2x£20 notes in the back of my phone case for emergencies. But since contactless and apple wallet came in I barely use cash any more.0

A lot of the ATMs that charge are in places where you have no option - like service stations etc...
But to honest I hardly use cash at all - only to buy fish & chips as my chippy only takes cash...0 -
I try to plan as much as possible if I ever need cash. E.g. my barber only takes cash, so I make sure I withdraw it from a free cash machine beforehand. I refuse to pay £1.50 - £2 to get my own money. Luckily there is a free Lloyds cashpoint nearby, and a free ATM in our corner shop.Like most other people have said, I barely use cash at all now, apart from the barber. I used to always give my son cash if he was meeting his friends in town, but now I just give him my card because we don't have cash at home!0
