Good morning, it's a fine start here, and feels as if it's going to be warmish.
I would like to get some bedding plants into containers in the back yard today - we'll surely not be getting any frost now, even here in the N East!
Our backyard faces south west anyway, and is sheltered.
Yesterday was an ok day, I had a shopping delivery from Morries. Strangely, there was a solitary pot of yoghurt which I must have clicked on by mistake. I was in a bit of a rush whilst doing the order. One of us will eat it anyway.
Nothing else to report.
Hope everyone's ok and has a good day, take care folks.

Morning all from Mehefinland
The heating just clicked on!!
Spent an hour on a beach litter clean yesterday- 21 people and 20+bags of rubbish. Lots of bbq debris and oddly rags. Tide line had lots of cuttlefish.
Cold dull day yesterday , and today looks the same
A food and drink fair is on over the next 2 days in the localmarket town Tempted, but not much fun on your own. I'll see how I feel after I've done the daily animal chores
Hugs and spoons as always

Good morning Scarlet and Derek, I thought I was an early bird today, but you both beat me.
Sunny out after a rainy night, I think more rain is forecast later. Usual bed changing today, although whether the washing goes out on the line remains to be seen.
Gammon for dinner, I'll make a cauliflower cheese to go with it, and some roasties. Other than that nothing planned, OH will be watching the grand prix later.
Have a good day, hugs to all who need them. Take care.

Hi all
I think I missed a day or two - early start invigilating in Friday - did 8000 steps and didn’t sit down for 6.5 hours with the exam itself and sorting out rooms and papers before and after.Have a good friend of DMs visiting, she’s very easy but just a lot of cooking etc that I feel I should do. I am feeling quite tired even though I slept for 7 hours nonstop.Weather seems very mixed now so there might be a trip out somewhere later.Take care all

Morning all - thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. Perhaps the weather will stay nice enough to get the planting done. The overnight wind has been so blustery and noisy, just like mid-winter though it's strangely mild. The low mist never lifted yesterday even when the rain came. I was strangely unproductive!I've been buzzing around this morning, lots of little jobs needed to be done. I've now got my first coffee. Later on I'm off to Glasgow on the bus to see Nick Mohammed tonight at the theatre. The journey will definitely be much longer than usual as the main road over the Rest is closed with traffic diverted down the extremely steep and windy military road in a convoy, so much waiting, and then part of the road into Glasgow west end is closed for resurfacing so there will be another diversion. I'm simply happy that I'm not driving! Many hugs to all, I hope that good weather comes your way although it's not here.11

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet - enjoy the yogurt!
It's been raining on and off but there is a little bit of blue sky so there's hope! Still quite mild and the garden looks much better for it.
Enjoy your show Gers, hope the traffic isn't too bad.
Did a bit of shopping yesterday - decided to get a new radio as the Sonos system I have has stopped working and I'm getting too stressed trying to fix it. I tried listening through the laptop but it sounded awful. Once that was done it was a slothful day on the sofa catching up with some TV - I may also have had a little nanna nap which is probably why I woke up at 5 this morning!
I have a friend of the children's visiting today with her 5 month old baby - really looking forward to it. I'll do a Thai curry for lunch.
Bathrooms and kitchen cleaned, just need to hoover round and put the washing on once I've had a shower.
Hope you all have a peaceful and happy Sunday, take care. XX9 -

Morning all. It was raining about an hour ago but now the sun's shining.
Not doing much today, although we are going to see a folk trio at The Stables, MK, tonight. I think we wiped out DH's sister yesterday but she said she had a super day. The H of P tour took 2 hrs 10 mins(!) and my back was aching part way through as there was a lot of standing around, although it was very interesting. We did get up to the Royal Opera House just before 7pm and were ogling the sort of outfits some people were wearing; very smart and some were extremely short! The rooftop bar was very crowded and the other bar on the balcony wasn't serving drinks until the 8pm interval so we had a general wander, took photos of some of the costume displays and then made our way back to Euston for the train home.
I've not hear of Nick Mohammed @Gers so do let us know if he's worth looking out for.
I hope everyone else is doing ok; hugs to all11 -
Morning all, thanks @Scarlet for the (very) early start. Yesterday was a dull day but no rain until overnight. Today it's sunny with a gusty breeze and the possibility of showers at any time; top temps 16 deg - it feels like we're going backwards!
Change of plans yesterday because DS's car was in for service that took much longer than expected so no carpet cleaning. No matter, there's always other things to do. I framed some photos and hung them in the hallway (a job that's been waiting for quite some time), did one load of washing and paid off my credit card. I need to check that as there was a pop-up on screen saying the payment may not have gone through due to "service not available" even though my account balance has been reduced by the payment amount. Bank Holiday? Site maintenance? No idea but it's definitely not a lack of funds!
Today I need to make bread and a batch of bolognaise sauce, some to be frozen. Once that's done I'll be able to see what space is left in the freezer and will adjust the SM order accordingly (it's the big monthly delivery that makes me wince when I see the cost) then an afternoon of crafting of some kind depending on what takes my fancy. Tea tonight is cooked gammon, broccoli, carrots and baby potatoes.
@WL - Glad you enjoyed your day in London, it sounds really interesting.
Have a peaceful and satisfying day, take care, hugs as usual. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
Morning all
The sun is shining here after a lot of rain overnight we need to make the most of it as it’s meant to rain all day tomorrow I still have some plants to put in so will do that later.
Bbq for dinner tonight I’ve got a beef joint out of the freezer which I got on offer so I will slow cook that today and crisp it on the bbq, I got some whole roasted peppers in Lidl so will do some of them and some kind of potato dish.
DD and I went to a large M & S yesterday it had a food hall as well as clothes, I bought some new knickers for my holiday and that was it clothes wise, we did the food shop while there which surprisingly was not too expensive.
A local plant nursery has a sale on today so I feel it would be rude not to go and have a look 👀
Have good days all and take care xx
