My nhs pension and state pension are cubbed and I get paid after tax is deducted and in response to my filing a tax return I have been asked to pay £5600 on an interest from a deposit of £5600? How is this possible.Error by HMRC?

I think we need more information - what do you mean by cubbed?
why did you fill in a tax return (don't usually need to if your income is just pensions and interest) ?
how much interest did you get?0 -

Your NHS and state pension are "clubbed" together? As for interest could HRMC have received the information incorrectly from the bank where £5,600 was reported as the interest rather than the deposit amount?0
