Getting a job before discharge - Early Dishcharge and IPA/IPO?

I am due to be discharged from bankruptcy in December.. When I entered into bankruptcy I was a full time student and will finish my course in August so will be looking for a job from September (3 months before discharge). I am not in an IPA/IPO so if my income increases, will I be made to enter into a 3 year payment plan even though I will only have 3 months left of my bankruptcy? I don't want to stay unemployed but also don't want to have come this far and then end up locked into a 3 year plan.

Also, what is the likelihood of early discharge as that would solve this issue? It is a very straightforward bankruptcy, I didn't even have an interview with the OR, have no assets etc. Is there a way to find out if I will be considered for early discharge or is it a case of just waiting for a letter? Is it common or should I not get my hopes up?

Thank you!

No early discharge, its 12 months period.

If you want to avoid an IPA, wait until you are discharged to find work or make certain your disposable income is less than £20 per month, otherwise you will be signed up for a further 3 years.

Agreed. Early discharge doesn't happen now.

Looking for a job in September doesn't equal starting employment in September.

Thank you. I have seen a job which is at a school so would start in September. The interview would be in July and I would really like to apply. The problem is I don't want to end up with an IPA however my husband is currently out of work due to health issues so its likely I wouldn't have any disposable income as any income I earn would also reduce the Universal Credit we are currently claiming so I probably won't be any better off at first. I'm just scared of declaring new employment and ending up in a 3 year plan but really want to get my life back on track.

If you can reasonable justify your budget you should be OK.
