So I received a letter today from Capquest saying they have appointed a company called Resolvecall to visit my property to try and enforce an old credit card debt.
I asked Capquest back in November last year for a CCA for this 25 year old £8,000 Barclay's credit card debt, I had been making token payments up until then.
They wrote to me stating Barclay's were unable to provide the CCA as the debt was so old and they stated that the debt was currently unenforceable.

They have contacted me again several times stating that even though the debt is unenforceable I still need to pay it and need to set up a payment plan.
I have ignored these letters so now they have appointed Resolvecall to try and pressure me into paying.

I won't be answering the door to them and have no intention of paying a penny unless Capquest can provide the CCA.

Any advice guys?

write to capquest and tell them that as they have no CCA for you there is no reason for them to have any data on your either.  So tell them to erase any reference to you off their databases and that they should tell any subsidiaries such as Resolvecall to do the same.  And say that if Capquest or Resolvecall ever contact you again you will consider it harassment and report it to the FCA as such.

    All by snailmail of course.

    Thanks Brie,
good advice but I was trying not to contact them as I didn't want to increase the risk of the statute barred time being extended,
or have I got that wrong?🤔

No problem. Just continue to ignore everything up to a letter before claim, which you will probably never get.
