London's finest return issue

Hi
I hope you can help with an issue that is probably getting more and more common.
I recently bought a hoodie from London's Finest – London's Finest
I checked their website size chart and ordered a xxxl - the largest they do.
A few weeks later it arrived and was far too small. I had it measured and it was a large. They had put the wrong size label on the item.
Their website says all returns go to 'Asia'. To get the return address and form, you have to email them. I did this and found the address to be in China.
Postage cost to China is £30 plus any tariffs/duties etc. The item was only £30 so it was uneconomic to return.
Their returns policy states items must be returned within 14 days - post to China takes longer - and be 'unopened and in its' original packaging'.
Clearly this stops you from opening the item to try it on.
All the above are clear breaches of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
I have emailed them multiple times explaining the above and that I would be happy to return it to their UK based return address on the label.
They claim this is not possible and they will only accept returns to China. A deliberate ploy to not return the item due to cost.
They have even offered me the choice to keep the item - which is no good to me - and get a discount of between 20% and 50% off my next order!
They refuse to give me their registered company name and/or address.
There is nothing on their website to indicate who they are or where they are based.
Company's house draws a blank.
I cannot make a small claims court application without information as to who they are.
Their website terms and conditions are a deliberate ploy to make returns as difficult as possible.

This won't apply anyway as 99.9% sure this will not be a UK company. Same with small claims. This will be a pop up website where all the goods come from China.
Guessing you found this site on some kind of social media?
Chalk it up to a cheap lesson.

OP yiu should have read the t and c before ordering.  That should have prevented you from ordering in the first place.

think you need to write this off

This is a common scenario, the only thing I’d add is to try and pester them a bit more as these companies will often give a small refund and allow you to keep the item , just to make you go away.

Are you seriously considering a small claims application for £30?

It is the principle, not the amount. A lot of these sites avoid complying with UK laws by being based abroad and not having a UK contact point.

Principles can be very expensive. However, there is not a lot you can do in this situation.
Am I right in saying you saw this site advertise on social media?
A quick google of the website shows hundreds of reviews of people experiencing the same. The site will simply close down and re-open under a new name. Rinse and repeat.

Chinese are a lot smaller than the average UK person...

You wont be able to take them to court.

Any advertisement on Social Media that has a city name in company name are 100% from China.

Just as UK companies avoid Chinese law by being based here... thats how international trade works and it does go both ways.

Having a UK contact point would make no difference; many of these do setup a forwarding address service as they cost peanuts but it doesnt change the outcome when buying from an overseas company with no UK based assets.
