Class 2 overseas contributions letter April 25

Has anyone who pays class 2 contributions from abroad received their letter for the April payment this year? Mine usually arrives until mid April but I haven't received it yet. So I'm wondering - did it get lost in the post? Or has the deadline for paying old years caused so much havoc that the class 2 letters are sent out later than usual? I would think that the letters are automated and therefore shouldn't be affected by the deadline chaos but you never know.

My son hasn’t received his yet but they did make a mess of things in April by automatically crediting the payment sitting there from last September that was meant for other years. He had to contact HMRC to get them to unallocate that year and asked for a letter to be sent out as normal.0

In case anyone was wondering - my letter arrived today, so about two months late. The date of issue printed on the letter is 5 April but the (Dutch) postmark has no date so there's no way of knowing if it was sent out after 5 April or if it actually took the very scenic route to reach me.1

HMG's use of that Schiedam private postal outfit is a disgrace. I have had to check my snail mail box every day for around 4 months now on the lookout for HMC/DWP letters which if you can get through on the telephone they will read to you from their systems, but which typically take over a month to arrive - this absolutely shameful when you consider many of these letters are not one off confirmations of a non-disputed end result, but often are part of ongoing correspondence relating to continuing errors. It means they are often obsolete when they arrive which confuses everyone particularly because they often get anonymously signed "Office Manager" and give no direct line telephone contact. Oh and Email ist verboten (it "isn't a secure form of communication"). How can so many senior clock-watching idiots be allowed to run the show like that in 2025?)Suhusa said:In case anyone was wondering - my letter arrived today, so about two months late. Make you wonder what kickbacks were received by the so-called senior "civil servants" who have conveniently forgotten for a decade and a half that the Dutch "postal services" company ceased in 2014 to be any part of Royal Mail and is currently controlled by some eastern European who clearly thinks his postal services business specialises in the niche of "non-critical" mail. (So says their website).0
