Getting married and CGT on properties

I have just got engaged and without taking the romantic side of it away from the event I am worried about CGT on our houses.
I have a property and so does my partner and we are renovating another to be a lovely new home.
So hopefully this is clear:-
Property 1 belongs to my partner who has lived in the property but now rents it out. I guess time limits/periods will be an issue here.
Property 2 is my property which we are both living in now.
Property 3 is in my partner's name but is currently being converted into a house.
Plan is to sell property 1 in the next 12-24 months. CGT???
Move into Property 3
Do up Property 2 and rent it out and keep it for long term investment for our Pension??
Many a question above but would really appreciate any information.

Take a look at this thread

it answers most of the basic questions.
Once married you can transfer the properties into joint names, not sure about stamp duty on this.
The house you currently both live in will become your principal private residence once married.if i had known then what i know now0
