Costco returns without receipt

Does anyone know if Costco can track a purchase I made over six months ago as I want to return a faulty item I purchased but I don't have the paper receipt.

Sorry didn’t make it clear .. when you speak to customer service in the warehouse they can see past purchases on the system.1
