NHS Pension 1995 Scheme - Taking benefits at 50

Having read various other threads on the 1995 NHS Pension scheme and taking benefits early, I can relate to the lack of information and frustrations of not being able to access information.

My issue is as follows. I have taken my 1995 scheme benefits early at 50 and have received an award notification letter confirming my annual (reduced) pension and lump sum. However when I log into My NHS Pension it shows amounts that about 25% lower than the letter but no one can explain this difference. 

The latest response is that the lower amounts are related to not getting inflationary increases until age 55 (I understand this but expected to keep same rate on the letter until age 55, not to have an unexplained reduction).

I would love to hear from anyone out there who took benefits age 50-54 and whether the amounts received matched the confirmation letter.

I am in dialogue with NHS Pensions and hope to resolve before having to complain and use ombudsman etc.

Be surprising if your My NHS Pension was up todate. The data won't have been uploaded yet for last tax year. Normally these accounts get correctly updated as late as August. Your pension would have been calculated independently via a totally seperate process.
