Do Kensington mortgage refund fees years after paying off mortgage

I just received an unexpected cheque from a secure loan I paid off 4 years ago, for fees and charges incorrectly added. So got me wondering if I’m owed same from my mortgage at the time. Do Kensington mortgage do these kind of refunds?
If so do I just email or ring them?

Why would they? Have they done something wrong or miscalculated something?? That’s the thing, I am unsure, until I received a cheque from the secured loan company, I did not think that this was a thing. So really I’m wondering if I should contact them or not, but want to see if this is something new regarding mortgages or secure loans that they have to check, before I ask.0
