Hi all.
Is it possible to move from step change to pay plan. I ask this as I have stupidly required some more debts and feel like I would just like to start a fresh.
Thanks

You could move anywhere you want or possibly self manage your debt solution.
But SC aren't going to be angry with you for doing what so many of us have done. Frankly I'd start by talking to them and if you are made to feel uncomfortable then see where you might move.
National Debtline, Community Money Advice (CMA) & Christians Against Poverty (CAP) are other trusted agencies you might consider.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. You were asking about entering a DMP in April?
And said that you'd read about defaulting before you started the DMP.
One of the reasons you stop paying your existing creditors is so that you can build up an emergency fund before the debts default. Creditors can't take you to court until after the default, so it's time when it's safe to build your emergency fund.
If you haven't got an emergency fund, you risk taking out ever more expensive debt with new creditors, as seems to have happened.
The other thing is that you really need to both live with your budget for a few months so that you can work out what's missing and what you can reduce.
I'd suggest you contact Stepchange and tell them you need to suspend the DMP until you've got some sort of emergency fund.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
