Council Tax Woes

Hi I’m after some advice before I do something stupid.

My husband had to migrate from ESA over to a joint UC claim.

I work 37 hours a week and only 8 of those are in the office as I am also my husbands carer.

Prior to migrating my husband had full CT exemption due to his disabilities. Now, we are entitled to nothing.

We are currently having to pay £320 a month even though we had a payment plan and that doesn’t cover the current year.

We receive no help with anything else due to me working to try to get us out of the hole that being a member of the Excluded during covid put us in.

My local authority keep saying we are not entitled to any reduction.

I’m look for some help, advice please

What exemption did you claim? He didn't get the exemption alone because all claims for means tested benefits are joint r if you are a couple.
