I had quite a lot of debt and has my OH had the chance to work in Greece, we decided to go for it. Sold house, cleared all debt - great weight off my mind for the time being. Still have house in UK which i rent out, but as i am earning from this while living overseas need to declare that i am non-resident but still a tax payer. My main concern is that i have a fair bit from the other house sale which i need to stash somewhere to earn interest in case we move back to the UK, once my OH has gained enough experience in his career that will be able to support us with the UK cost of living.
Now i'm non resident i don't know where i can put the savings. Was gonna put £35k in the Kaupthing account but you need to be UK resident. Can anyone advise me on this.
Thanks so much :money::T0
